After adjusting the valves in my SIL Intruder 800, I'd vote for the Savage anyday, pulling the carb to check and adjust the valves is beyond reasonable. Also removing or at least unbolting the radiator shield to check the coolant level means it won't get done often enough. Volusia may be different in both repsects because the frame is bigger, but I would check before I wrote the check. I do think the Volusia is a good looking ride. Just needs an air cooled 800 cc single.
